Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted he would be happy for Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo’s international absences to be kept to a minimum as his side begin their fight on three fronts in January.

Salah is away with Egypt in the African Nations Cup, while Japan captain Endo is at the Asian Cup and both players are expected to go deep into the respective competitions.

That could mean a return in the second week of February but Klopp said he sent them on their way this week without wishing them too much success.

But Mourinho poured cold water on any hope of a move, declaring Luiz will not be sold for any price.

Didier Drogba has announced he will leave Montreal Impact at the end of the season in the wake of his side s 3-2 win over Toronto FC in their Eastern Conference Championship first leg on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old joined Impact in July 2015 after a second spell with Chelsea and guided them to the Eastern Conference semi-finals for the first time in the club s history in his maiden season.

He then appeared to be on his way back to Chelsea in a coaching role, but eventually elected to stay for a second campaign with Montreal.

The Reds American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, face a July 24 deadline to refinance 350 million pounds of debt which they have been servicing at punitive rates of interest, according to company accounts published this week.
